Born in Colorado, Kaili was raised in Hawaii, and attended Dartmouth College—where she majored in Women and Gender Studies with a minor in Public Policy. After graduating in 2009, she organized in support of clean energy policy and worked on a U.S. Senate campaign in New Hampshire. She has worked in progressive advocacy and online engagement since: fighting for voting rights, workers' rights and environmental protection; elevating the issues that impact women's lives; working to support women's leadership in grassroots movements; and running online campaigns to call out sexism and support survivors of gender-based violence.

Kaili lives in Denver, where she enjoys time outside with her dogs, the vibrant music, food, and beer scene, and easy access to the mountains. She volunteers with Summit Dog Rescue and is co-chair of Women Get it Done--Denver.

Kimmerly graduated from MIT with an SB in Mechanical Engineering and Philosophy. She currently works in the energy industry in analysis and engineering. In her free time, she has tried to pick up new and old hobbies--she plays violin in an amateur string ensemble, makes (lopsided) pottery, and cares for the many succulents and other plants that have somehow accumulated in her house. With CIW, she heads up the STEM Initiatives team, collaborating with local groups to increase STEM involvement in underrepresented groups.
